Getting started
A quick guide to your client portal — what's here, and how to use it.
Board packs
Your monthly (or quarterly) report. Your CFO drafts it from your live Xero or MYOB numbers, reviews and edits every section themselves, then signs and publishes it here — nothing reaches you unreviewed or AI-generated without a human check. Open one from the Board packs tab, or download it as a PDF to keep or forward on. If your CFO has turned on budget tracking, you'll also see how your actuals compare to plan right on this tab.
Action items
Follow-ups your CFO has flagged for you — anything from "sign the engagement letter" to "chase an overdue invoice." They show up on your portal home page with a due date if there is one. Tick one off once it's done; your CFO sees the moment you do.
Upcoming dates
Deadlines your CFO has set for your business — a BAS lodgement, a board meeting, a renewal — also on your portal home page. Recurring ones (monthly or quarterly) automatically show the next occurrence, not a stale one-off date.
Activity
A running log of what's happened on your account — published packs, notes your CFO has shared with you, and requests — so you can see what's changed without having to ask for a status update.
Documents
Where you and your CFO exchange files. If they need something from you — a bank statement, a signed form — it shows up here as a request, with a due date if one's set. Anything they send you lands here too. You'll get an email whenever a new request comes in.
Messages
A direct line to your CFO for anything that isn't worth a full email — a quick question about a number in your last pack, a heads-up about something coming up. Unread replies show a badge on this tab so you never miss one.
Security
Your account is protected by a passwordless sign-in link sent to your email — there's no password to remember or leak. For extra protection, turn on two-factor authentication from this tab: install an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or Authy), scan the QR code shown, and enter the 6-digit code it gives you. Once enabled, that code is required on every sign-in, not just offered.
Common questions
Do I need to do anything to keep this running?
No — your CFO manages the connection to your accounting software and keeps everything in sync. You only need to log in when you want to check something, respond to a message, or upload a document they've asked for.
Who can see my financial data here?
Only you and the practitioners at your CFO's practice. Every business on this platform is fully isolated from every other — there's no shared view, and no one outside your engagement has access.
Can I invite someone else from my team?
Ask your CFO to add them — they can invite additional people from your business to the portal, each with their own sign-in.
I forgot how to log in.
There's no password to forget. Go to your portal link and enter your email — a fresh sign-in link is sent every time, valid for a single use.
Still stuck?
Message your CFO directly from the Messages tab — they're the ones who can help with anything specific to your account or your numbers.
